l. Piggy Bank- Buy one if you do not have a handy and safe place to keep all of your loose change. You should be able to find one for a dollar or two. 2. Shop at your local Dollar Store or 99 Cent Stores. These are fabulous places to save money on all of the little items for the kitchen. I find everything from tea towels to picture frames at these stores. 3. Shop at a thrift Store such as the Goodwill store. I found a beautiful robe for a senior when shopping for a purse at this popular thrift store. I paid only $5 for it.
4. Garage sales of course are a great way to hunt for bargains. Just be sure items are in good condition without chips or tears.
5. Save your loose change daily. See step one.
6. Buy a small home freezer just for saving meats and frozen vegetables you find on sale. Many home refrigerators do not provide enough storage space. It does pay to repackage meats bought in bulk to amounts you can consume for one meal.
7. Recycle bottles and cans. We decided to keep a box handy to collect our used bottles for profit. This is such a good way to save energy and landfill space too. It can add up quickly to dollars with consistent work.
8. Write hubs here at hub pages. It pays pennies at first but after a consistent effort and listing yourself at the Ad pages you can make some travel money.
9. Read books to increase your knowlege on all kinds of subjects instead of taking expensive courses. I buy some books at my local dollar store. My local library sells both magazines and books on a special discount rack.
10. Soft drinks can easily be made for the day using water, a little natural fruit flavor or green tea. These drinks can save you hauling bottles and cans. We usually just drink ice water with a slice of lemon at restaurants because drinks can bring the tab up to a much higher total.
